Jotron Remote Access Suite
A state of the art tool for efficient management of Jotron antennas
JRAS is a maintenance, service, support and diagnostics tool for the integrated stabilized antennas from Jotron Satcom. The tool is accessed via Internet or local LAN. On the vessel, the local LAN can be accessed from the front of the BDE Unit or from a service Wi-Fi inside the radome.
Remote access by Internet can be by routing via the VSAT link or via alternative routes like Inmarsat Fleet Broadband. An alternative route is highly recommended, and Telnet may be used if the available link is slow or costly.
JRAS is built upon open web standards and all modern browsers and platform types are supported. This means that a range of equipment can be used for accessing JRAS: Windows/Linux PC, MACs,
Tablet PCs and Smart Phones (Apple, Android) etc.
Save maintenance cost
JRAS enables preventive maintenance by long term performance logging and diagnosis. A spectrum analyzer is built-in for RF quality check. JRAS enables automated remote routine maintenance like firmware upgrades, tracking
parameters adjustment, mechanical checks etc.
The built in tools save time and make the system calibration, check and lineup easy.
JRAS enables remote configuration and line-up. Both the local and the remote user can access JRAS simultaneously.
Remote service and support
Use of JRAS remotely will in most cases provide the necessary tools for recovering normal operation of the stabilized platform. If not, the help desk can pin- point the faulty component, ship correct spare parts and recover service by remote assistance.
